We are proud to be actively engaged with our local community. Through our collaboration with other local art organisations, schools, charities and councils, we have managed to create a vibrant community programme with very limited resources.

From holding exhibitions at the gallery with disabled artists, to intergenerational workshops & public community events ; we have opened up the gallery to a diverse and
unique creative community.

Over the last two years we have been working with the survivors of human trafficking. This group of international women did not fit into any other funding categories due to their mixed ages or entitlement to benefits. They have been pushed into the margins of society, through no fault of
their own. By working creatively with the group, we have set up a regular art support session and found interesting ways of channelling their own creativity. These sessions provide a space for the women to come together and create their own community. Through this they are overcoming isolation and taking control of their own lives.

Last year we completed a Lottery funded project,
Flower Press, that was devised in collaboration
with the participants; creating a community led group, which we would now like to take further. We are in the process of creating a social enterprise with this group, so that they can fund their own projects and feel empowered
about their lives.
