Romuald Hazoumѐ: All in the Same Boat
Black History Month
Hazoumѐ is from the Republic of Benin, West Africa and his work is astute and political. Iconically using petrol cans as masks, Hazoumѐ ’s work is realised in a range of media, including multi-media installation, sculpture, photography and painting. His new exhibition 'All in the Same Boat' is concerned with immigration and using this theme and context as starting point, we will be exploring sculpture in a multimedia context, particularly focusing on shelter building and what it means for us.
