Inkless Photography, Collage & Found Objects

Please note: this event is first come first served and when we are at capacity, we have a one in one out policy.

Family Art Day offers the opportunity to explore October Gallery with your family when the Gallery is usually closed to the public.

​

Suitable for all ages, join us for a creative morning inspired by the photographs of Benji Reid and Zana Masombuka.

​

Families will make their own photographs using inkless print cameras, then combine them with collage and found objects to create playful, imaginative artworks together. A relaxed, hands-on session with plenty of space to experiment, make and create.

Families at the October Gallery 

​

OG Education takes a playful and exploratory approach to family learning by creating imaginative sessions to engage with October Gallery’s current exhibitions. We are committed to creating high quality creative engagements that are inclusive, accessible and free. Currently our sessions run on the second Saturday of the month.

​

We encourage families to explore the gallery and exhibition through many art making activities. Families get a chance to work with various artist educators and members of our OG Youth Collective exploring materials and techniques they may not have tried before in the beautiful gallery setting. 

​​

Our family sessions are FREE and open to children of all ages from 10am-12pm and families can stay as long as they like.
