Drop-in for families with children of all ages

Please note: this event is first come first served and when we are at capacity, we have a one in one out policy.

Join us as we celebrate this year's Education Exhibition: Beyond the Weave: Crafting Tradition, Sparking Play. Led by members of the October Gallery Youth Collective, this workshop invites families to experiment with textiles and paper crafts. This workshop brings the opportunity to collaborate together, explore various making techniques inspiring collaboration as well as interact with some of the artworks in the exhibition.

Suitable for all ages, at the heart of this sensory art experience is a celebration of collaboration and play.

Families at the October Gallery 

​

OG Education takes a playful and exploratory approach to family learning by creating imaginative sessions to engage with October Gallery’s current exhibitions. We are committed to creating high quality creative engagements that are inclusive, accessible and free. Currently our sessions run on the second Saturday of the month.

​

We encourage families to explore the gallery and exhibition through many art making activities. Families get a chance to work with various artist educators and members of our OG Youth Collective exploring materials and techniques they may not have tried before in the beautiful gallery setting. 

​​

Our family sessions are FREE and open to children of all ages from 10am-12pm and families can stay as long as they like.

We also run events and sessions in and around the local community so keep an eye on our noticeboard, homepage and social media.
