Drop-in for families with children of all ages

Please note: this event is first come first served and when we are at capacity, we have a one in one out policy.​

Join us for a fun filled family exploration of El Anatsui's Go Back and Pick exhibition. Led by artist Emma Jacobs, we will investigate the artwork through a series of games and creative activities. Work collaboratively on a large scale decorative artwork as well as experiment with everyday materials, a variety of textures and techniques to create your own miniature sculptures inspired by the work around the Gallery!

Suitable for all ages, this workshop invites families to create together.

Families at the October Gallery 

​

OG Education takes a playful and exploratory approach to family learning by creating imaginative sessions to engage with October Gallery’s current exhibitions. We are committed to creating high quality creative engagements that are inclusive, accessible and free. Currently our sessions run on the second Saturday of the month.

​

We encourage families to explore the gallery and exhibition through many art making activities. Families get a chance to work with various artist educators and members of our OG Youth Collective exploring materials and techniques they may not have tried before in the beautiful gallery setting. 

​​

Our family sessions are FREE and open to children of all ages from 10am-12pm and families can stay as long as they like.
