INCLUSIVE ART PROJECT

October - December 2015

October Gallery collaborated with The British Museum to create an art project which would explore exhibitions at both institutions with two schools, culminating in a sculptural final piece in their schools.

The participating schools; Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children and Fitzjohn's Primary School in Camden came to see the 'Celts: Art and Identity' exhibition at the British Museum and then the October Gallery's 'Aubrey Williams: Realm of the Sun' exhibition from which we collected inspiration and ideas. We then delivered art workshops in both schools to develop special techniques like printmaking and embossing to add to their final piece.

Here, at the October Gallery we try to run all our projects and events with little, or no financial cost for our community.

Sadly, this means that we can not offer refunds because the fee is going towards keeping our programme exciting and accessible for ALL art lovers and allows us to keep working as a charity.
