Nnenna Okore - Textile Sculptures

Nigerian artist Nnenna Okore creates abstract works inspired by the textures, colours and

landscapes of her local environment.

Okore relies on the use of everyday found objects, which she repurposes, transforming them into intricate sculptural installations using repetitive and labour-intensive techniques such as weaving, twisting, sewing, dyeing, waxing and rolling.

Gallery Educator Neysela da Silva-Reed will try them all with you and your students!

Workshops suitable for ALL ages!

10am-12pm Weekday mornings

£100 per workshop

Here, at the October Gallery we try to run all our projects and events with little, or no financial cost for our community.

Sadly, this means that we can not offer refunds because the fee is going towards keeping our programme exciting and accessible for ALL art lovers and allows us to keep working as a charity.
