6th March- 5th April 2025

The October Gallery is excited to present 'William S. Burroughs', a solo exhibition of rarely seen works which features paintings and drawings created from a range of materials including spray paint, ink, acrylic, markers and gunshots. His work is a creative observation of unknown worlds and intelligences. For Burroughs, everything is alive, and his artwork (as well as his genre-bending writings) explores this idea.

During the school workshops, we will learn from Burroughs's different methods of making such as the cut-up technique, which he invented. Through this experimental practice, students will learn to relinquish control and allow their creative minds to run free. Participants will create unique artworks inspired by Burroughs's diverse practice of words, multimedia experiments and image-making.
