5th March, 2026 -- 11th April, 2026

Kenji Yoshida was a prolific artist, whose practice carries a poignant reflection on life. The artist also draws inspiration from his time in Paris, which was the centre of Modernism in the 1960's. His use of ethereal gold, silver and precious metals on canvas unite a restrained tradition of Japanese applique work with that of an abstract modernist aesthetic.

During the workshops, students will explore ways of representing meaning through abstract forms. Participants will be encouraged to consider the combination and arrangement of different shapes in their work.

Here, at the October Gallery we try to run all our projects and events with little, or no financial cost for our community.

Sadly, this means that we can not offer refunds because the fee is going towards keeping our programme exciting and accessible for ALL art lovers and allows us to keep working as a charity.
